School Habitat Creation Project

In spring 2007 the ranger joined forces with the Eday Primary
School to create a wildlife habitat on a derelict piece of land.

Phase one of the project was planting 500 trees with the
help of Jenny Taylor from the Orkney Woodland
Development Project.............

.....next stage of the project was filling an area with topsoil,
which had previously been removed from the site.  In spring 2008
we hope to plant out part of this area and create a bog garden.
